MULTICULTURALISM THE CHANGING FACE OF CANADIAN BUSINESS This video focuses on the growing diversity of Canada's population and our changing labour pool. It examines employment barriers faced by visible minority people and women and what employers can do to create fair and equal job opportunities. The Changing Face of Canadian Business would be useful for educationals dealing with employment discrimination, multiculturalism and affirmative action.
THE NEW IMMIGRANTS A series of three half-hour productions on a multicultural theme is the result of collaboration between the CBC and the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan. Titled The New Immigrants, it looks at the experiences of three modern-day Saskatchewan immigrants. The three immigrants featured in the series are Yvonne Yuen of Saskatoon, a fashion designer form Hong Kong; Rolondo "Chico" Ramirez of Regina, originally from Chile, a co-ordinator of the International Affairs Office of the Saskatchewan Federation of Indians College; and Gordon Yarde of Battleford, well known for his contribution as a volunteer and as town alderman.
